Three choices for funding health plans
Priority Health works to keep Michigan employers' health care costs low by offering three different funding options for our health plans:
Self-funded
- You pay actual claims.
- We provide administrative services and stop-loss coverage for a monthly fee.
- Stop-loss coverage is available to limit risk.
- Available to mid-sized or large groups

Fully funded
- Most popular insured health plan funding option
- You pay a monthly premium per employee.
- Annual premium renewal
- Available to small and large groups

Shared funding
- You pay a monthly premium based on a full year of projected claim use and administration.
- If your claims are lower than expected, we'll refund unused premium dollars; if they're higher than expected, you'll owe us the difference.
- We administer the insurance plan and provide protection against large claims.
- Available for groups with 100 or more enrolled members
